When Biordi Ceramics Imports was founded in 1946, Emilio Biordi selected as his main supplier of Classical Deruta, Maioliche Grazia, a fabled name in the field of maiolica dinnerware. In 1980, Biordi's new owner, Gianfranco Savio, met Renato and Elena Niccacci, owners of Maioliche Cama Deruta and saw that their hand painted dinnerware had intricate and delicate details that could not be matched by any other Deruta majolica studio. Since then, this relationship, based on high quality ceramics, has been so important that Biordi has become the main Cama Deruta distributor for the US market of Italian pottery.
Note: When you order your hand-painted dinnerware you can mix these 6 classical patterns with each other or to add a fresh contemporary look to your favorite pattern please consider mixing the simplified patterns that you see next to the plate with the full design patterns. The simplified designs dishes are listed with these three codes: as for dinner plates, bs for pasta/soup bowls, and cs for salad plates.
